With an interest in psychology, I pursued my Bachelor's degree in Applied Psychology and Criminology. During my studies, with an interest in all things psychology, I developed a strong fascination with hypnotherapy, which led me to simultaneously pursue my certification in psychotherapy and solution-focused hypnotherapy from Within Sight Hypnotherapy Training.
This approach resonated with me far more than traditional therapeutic methods. I was drawn to its unique emphasis on working with the subconscious mind, its future-focused, client-centered approach, and its commitment to fostering independence and empowerment. It was then that I knew hypnotherapy was my path.
After graduating, I joined the General Hypnotherapy Register to ensure adherence to ethical standards and a commitment to continuous growth as a therapist and I began my practice.
As of late, I have decided to hone in on working with clients wishing to resolve trauma. I noticed a commonality between a large number of my clients - a lot of them were still living in the past. These were past negative childhood experiences, criticisms, events that happened to them etc. No matter how long ago these experiences took place, they still felt present. These experiences were etched into their subconscious and still played an influence on their thoughts, behaviors and how they viewed and felt about themselves. Utilizing techniques in hypnotherapy designed to help process these experiences, the results were remarkable. I felt honored and joyous to have watched these transformations and I look forward towards others finding this sense of freedom.
Outside of hypnotherapy, I have also had experience of working with children from extremely traumatic backgrounds and adults with complex needs. Currently, apart from working as a hypnotherapist, I work with adults with autism.
